This wedding was incredibly special. It was held at Coalesce in Morro Bay. It’s a bookstore. With a garden chapel! As a writer, this made me all sorts of happy. And when Jayson and I moved to the Central Coast almost 18 years ago, we lived right down the street from this bookstore. We love this area, and we were honored to shoot their wedding.
Sometimes your family & friends snag you just before you get married to take a picture. Such is the case with Jeff, and luckily the “formal” portrait turned out just the way we photojournalists like it…wacky. And totally authentic. We can’t stop chuckling at the look on Jeff’s face.
Daisylee was escorted down the aisle by her mother. It was such a special moment. The wedding was beautiful and went off without a hitch, if you don’t count the groom dropping the ring…which, of course, was the best man’s fault. (Sorry, Paul, but YOU HAD ONE JOB.) (Haha)
Jeff is a smooth kind of guy and managed to get that ring on his bride’s finger and these two were married! We made a quick getaway through the bookstore (man, I love this bookstore photo) and headed out to the bay for some photos with the new couple.
The event was held under a beautiful tent in their backyard. The caterer, Something’s Cooking, cooked up a fantastic dinner. And then the bride’s mother stood up to give a toast and her emotion was so heartwarming…everyone was in tears.
